Wireless JTAG Emulator for Texas Instruments DSP, ARM, OMAP etc. |
The first fully-integrated wireless JTAG emulator (USB510W) for Code Composer Studio is now available from Blackhawk. It supports TI's integrated development environment version 5.1 from Texas Instruments. The USB510W has an embedded 802.11 b/g/n wireless transceiver so that it requires no physical connection to a computer in order to debug using Code Composer Studio IDE. The primary benefit of this capability is to completely isolate the debug, test and development computer from the target system. This will protect the developer from harsh environments and the development computer from damaging ground loop voltages, such as those found in high-voltage motor control applications. The integrated wireless feature of the USB510W is capable of supporting the following wireless protocols and speeds: 802.11n: 6.5, 13, 19.5, 26, 39, 52, 58.5 & 65 Mbps; 802.11ag: 6, 9, 12, 18, 24, 36, 48, & 54 Mbps, and 802.11b: 1, 2, 5.5 & 11 Mbps.
The USB510W software is fully integrated with Code Composer Studio IDE and offers a high-speed USB 2.0 host connection that can be used for wireless configuration and emulation debug. Other features include a 20-pin cTI JTAG cable connection, pin converters for other target headers, operational LEDs for the USB and wireless interfaces, auto-ranging TCK up to 50 MHz and target I/O support from 1.8 to 5.0 volts. The USB510W supports TI's embedded fixed- and floating-point processors, including Stellaris ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers, Sitara ARM9 and ARM Cortex-A8 microprocessors, DaVinci digital media processors, OMAP mobile applications processors, C6000 and C5000 DSPs and real-time control C2000 MCUs.

GANG2000 Multi-Tap In-System Programmer |
The GANG2000 Programmer from Blackhawk is a multi-tap device that can quickly and efficiently program multiple independent target boards that use the Texas Instruments (TI) C2000™ 32-bit Microcontrollers from a Windows® PC over a high-speed USB2.0 port.
The standalone GUI interface and intelligent features of the GANG2000 eliminate the time consuming task of individual device programming. Operator station installation, setup and maintenance is quick and easy from a single installation program. Code Composer Studio™ is NOT required. The GANG2000 supports C2000, Piccolo and Delfino devices from Texas Instruments (TI).
The GANG2000 can handle up to 4 UUTs (units under test) with the supplied JTAG ribbon cables and is also configurable to program only 1, 2, or 3 UUTs. The controller housing is rugged, made of aluminum, built to last in a production environment. The JTAG cables are detachable and therefore easily replaced if damaged or worn out.
Isolation adapters (4 pcs) to protect both the targets and the PC are available as an option.

High-Speed Emulation for Texas Instruments DSP |
Blackhawk offers a wide range of JTAG Emulators for Texas Instruments (TI) Digital Signal Prozessors (DSP). At the "low end", tiny, extremely portable USB powered emulators supportting a variety of DSP families are available at affordable prices ( USB510, USB510L, USB2000) .
Furthermore, Blackhawk offers several XDS560-compatible emulators for PCI, USB and LAN and the high-performance XDS560Trace *) system which allows for deep insight to complex internal processes such as the detection of spurious problems which are hard to track down with standard emulation methods.
A comparative table describing the most important features of all Blackhawk emulation products in detail is now online at their website.
*) XDS560Trace is no longer available. |

XDS560v2 System Trace Emulator |
The Blackhawk BH-XDS560v2 System Trace Emulator (BH560v2) is based on the new XDS560v2 system trace reference design (XDS560v2) from Texas Instruments (TI). The XDS560v2 design is the next-generation of the high-performance XDS560-class technology first made available by Blackhawk with the USB560/LAN560. A datasheet on this emulator can be found here.
The XDS560v2 design includes both high-speed USB 2.0 and 10/100Mbit Ethernet host interfaces, multi-color state and activity LEDs and a flexible, ribbon-ized coax JTAG cable. Along with traditional JTAG (IEEE 1149.1) the XDS560v2 adds support for IEEE 1149.7 (previously known as cJTAG) and system trace (STM), an interface on the TI heterogeneous multi-core (ARM + DSP) devices, such as OMAP and DaVinci.
As with the BH-LAN560 product, the Ethernet connection of the BH560v2 allows developers share access to target boards without the need of another computer. Migrating from a LAN560 to the Blackhawk XDS560v2 is easy.
The System Trace capability is compliant to MIPI STP. For those that are not familiar, this expands to Mobile Industry Processor Interface System Trace Protocol. See www.mipi.org for more details. Access to this capability is provided by TI CTools enabled devices for debug and optimization of multi-core processors. This helps users look at the synchronization and timing between cores and on-chip peripherals in their application. For more information on the CTools, please refer to the TI Wiki site at: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CTools.
Please note that this product will support Code Composer Studio V4.2 or newer and all "Ctools" enabled devices. |
